Welcome to Roswell

Modern spirit, southern soul, and unmatched hospitality

Roswell is the epitome of the friendly and profound southern spirit. Located just 20 miles north of downtown Atlanta, this community’s sincerely charming downtown feels worlds away from the hustle and bustle of the big city. The local motto of “Modern Spirit. Southern Soul.” has helped to carry traditional southern values into the 21st century, no matter how quickly the times have changed.

Roswell was once home to the largest cotton mill in northern Georgia. Today, it is one of Georgia’s largest and most prosperous communities, especially seeing dramatic growth since the turn of the 21st century. Dramatically built homes on spacious lots protected beneath dense canopies of green treetops are plentiful, providing refuge and peace just north of Atlanta.

Local Lifestyle

Roswell is a traditional southern community surrounded by nature. A highly sought-after Atlanta suburb, families, artists, dog-lovers, and gourmands alike can all find something to appreciate. From coffee houses to taverns, Italian fare to steakhouses, Roswell locals are spoiled for choice when it comes to dining options. A consistent string of community happenings includes group fitness classes and movie nights in the park, in addition to local festivals and fairs. Local parks and trails are great places to explore with four-legged friends, get fresh air, and escape the chaos of urban life.

Dining, Entertainment, and Shopping

One of Georgia’s most prosperous communities is also one of the best places to have a good time. Award-winning shopping experiences, fine dining, and more await those lucky enough to call Roswell home.

One of Roswell’s best places to celebrate a special occasion is Little Alley Steak, boasting the finest cuts of beef and delectable seafood creations. Ribeye steaks, American kobe beef, porterhouses, and lobster tails are enjoyed in a cozy, traditional aesthetic which has been named as one of the 100 best steakhouses in America by Forbes. Other cozy, high-end Italian offerings are the specialty of Osteria Mattone, placing an emphasis on Roman cuisine. Embracing the aura of a traditional osteria, Osteria Mattone has developed a reputation for its carbonara, agnolotti di oxo, and impressive drink menu.

Locals can get their caffeine fix at Crazy Love Coffee House, a newer addition to the Roswell community. Opened in 2017, Crazy Love is situated in an older, rustic home serving up caffeinated favorites, baked goods, and the best waffles in the south. Maple bacon, ice cream sundae, and strawberry Nutella are just a few of their best-selling concoctions.

A swanky, speakeasy atmosphere is found at 1920 Tavern. Craft burgers, crab cakes, juicy chicken, and other comforting classics are served alongside old-fashioned cocktails and more modern options of 1920’s own creation. Roswell residents can also wet their whistle at Gate City Brewing within the heart of town. Roswell’s first craft brewery features a rotating selection of favorite brews such as Parti Starter, Fast Fjord, and Gourd Vibrations, among others.

Gifts and home goods from Linen + Flax have been the perfect addition to any home and closet since 2015. After tremendous growth in business, Linen + Flax moved to a larger facility in 2018. These bright, livable moments, a popular blog and a vast offering of high-end and unique kitchen items helped garner this local business the Atlanta Home Magazine Kitchen of the Year Award in 2021.
